A Diverse Career

I have worked as a clinical health psychologist working with patients with chronic pain and done consultative work with attorneys, pharmaceutical companies and the department of veterans affairs

Hospital Experience

I received my doctoral degree in 2005 from Nova Southeastern University and began working at Ascension Healthcare as a Pain and Rehabilitation psychologist. During my time at Ascension I designed clinical programs for patients with chronic pain, conducted pre-surgical suitability exams, opiate risk assessments and an opiate safety program. I served on hospital committees to address cultural diversity and opioid stewardship and continue to provide trainings within the hospital to physicians, behavioral health clinicians, nurses and physical/occupational therapists.

Consultation Experience

I worked for 7 years conducting compensation pension exams for the Department of Veterans Affairs to aide in disability determinations. I have experience in workers compensation and have conducted Independent Medical Exams, disability determination, fitness for duty and psychological consultation/nexus exams.

Speaking/Training Experience

I have designed, implemented and delivered training’s and wellness talks to many different audiences.
