Multidisiplinary approaches to chronic pain are the key to better helping to address pain. A Pain psychologist is speciality trained in understanding the complex nature of pain and to address the biopsychosocial challenges associated with coping with pain. Pain Psychologists use psychological techniques that have shown evidence base to help patients gain control over symptoms, have tools to better manage and give patients a better outlook while living with chronic pain.

A pain psychologist can help your practice implement psychological treatments that may help improve the quality of life of your patients, provide training on how to assess opioid risk and do presurgical evaluations for psychological clearance.
